Ribbon Cutting for the Etna Center for Community set for October 17, 2026

Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026 to celebrate the opening of the Etna Center for Community!

This event will commemorate and celebrate the completion of construction and the opening of the Etna Center for Community. Following a ten-year development process, including two years of construction, Etna’s library doors will finally open. This day-long celebration will welcome community members of all ages to their new home on Etna's main street.

When:

Saturday, October 17, 2026

Ribbon Cutting ceremony: 11 a.m.

Following ceremony, the celebration will continue throughout the day until 8 p.m.

Where:

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at the rear of the building at 54 Locust St., Etna, PA 15223. The remainder of the celebration will take place inside the Etna Center for Community at 341 Butler St. and along Locust Street between Walnut Street and VFW Way.

Who:

Congressman Chris Deluzio; County Executive Sara Innamorato; State Senator Lindsey Williams; State Representative Lindsay Powell; staff and representatives from the Etna Community Organization and the Borough of Etna; and, most importantly, all community members!

What:

This event is free and open to the public.

• At 11 a.m., there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that includes remarks from key project contributors, followed by the official ribbon cutting.

• At 11:30 a.m., the library will open for community members to visit and explore.

• Programs will be held inside and outside of the library between 12–5 p.m.

• A street fair will take place on Locust Street.

• Food and drinks will be available throughout the event.

• The event will take place concurrently with activities in and around the business district, including the annual Haunted Garden of Etna. Costumes are welcome!
